Left Standing Still
Left Standing Still continues the story that began in Left Behind but Not Forgotten — but this time, my focus shifts from what has faded to what remains. In this series, I gravitate toward the structures, objects, and memories that refuse to surrender, even as time, nature, and circumstance press against them. These weathered forms are not just echoes of the past; they are acts of quiet defiance. This work is about survival, presence, and the strength found in simply remaining when everything else has moved on. This series was an exploration in color with each painting varying in color scheme and patterns.
